“Be cautious and bold,” attributed to an early Rothschild, captures the essence of our investment philosophy. Equities are intrinsically risky investments requiring some measure of boldness, but their risk may be mitigated by cautious and methodical selection.

UAS has been entrusted with the management of individual stock portfolios since 1988. Our investment objective is to achieve long-term growth of capital while being mindful of its protection in down-market cycles. To accomplish that objective, we invest in well-established, well-run, growing companies using a value oriented approach. Our emphasis on the safety of the capital base has been a key to our performance record.

While our clients primarily look to UAS for competitive investment results, they also expect personal service and attention. Consequently, although investment decisions are made in accordance with the firm’s time-tested criteria, consideration is given to individual client objectives. In addition, the firm’s principals personally oversee management of all client portfolios and are available for direct consultations.
